Xtra ViewXtra View is a product launched by Multichoice and involves the installation of 2 decoders to give you a dual view option. Xtra View Options2 standard decoders - For 2 viewing environments, 2 different channels can be viewed and changed to give you a dual view option.  +1 standard decoder and 1 HD PVR - This also gives you a dual view option but with the added functionality of recording.There are 3 additional high definition (HD) channels(Mnet HD,Supersport HD,Discovery HD)only available with the HD PVR. With this Dstv installation you could watch and change 2 different channel while recording 2 more channels. +

DStv InstallationsSatellite Dish OptionsSatellite dishes come in various sizes, there are different brands with each brand and size having different signal levels. The bigger the dish the better the signal gain. Multichoice has always recommended a 90cm dish for DStv irrespective of your decoder model. Most Companies install a 60cm dish and we are just as guilty due to the competetive market and consumers wanting the cheapest option. We offer various size and makes of Satellite Dishes to suite your budget. When installing DStv you should consider the following options
Most installations are sold with cheap chinese mild steel imports but there are good quality satellite dishes available namely the Visiosat dish. Made in europe,The dish is made from fiberglass,it is a little pricy but worth the investment. We have on many occasions repaired existing installations by replacing the old antenna with a Visiosat antenna. The shape of the dish ensures high signal gains. Visiosat dishes come in a 60cm and 90cm. We quote on the Visiosat dish on Request. We use various LNB brands, Most of which are weather resistant. Some of the brands we use are Sharp, FTE, Televes. HD PVR installation optionsThe HD PVR Decoder has 3 installation options.
